The InterPersonal Profile System (IPPS) report is one of several DiSC® PPSS Comparison Reports. This report compares multiple individuals' impressions of a person with his or her own self-perception. The assessment allows the respondent to see how others view him or her. In addition, this report helps the participant to understand how his or her communication methods are being perceived.
The participants' DiSC preferences are reproduced on the Personal Profile System Graph alongside others' perceptions of him or her. The graph displays how the respondent's colleagues rank him or her in all four DiSC styles. By placing all the graphs on a single DiSC scale, the participant gains a strong visual indication of the degree to which his or her preferences are coming across to peers. Differences between the respondent's self-perception and others' opinions can be striking.
Similarly, the Behavioral Tendency Continuum uses a visual display to show if the respondent's intensity levels match the impressions of those around him or her. The continuum lists words and phrases that relate to specific behaviors. Unique symbols for the respondent and for his or her colleagues indicate whether each person thinks the behavior describes the participant. The resulting chart analyzes the respondent's self-perception of behavioral intensity against the perception of his or her peers.
This report concludes with the InterPersonal Profile Worksheet. This series of questions is designed to get the respondent thinking about the effectiveness of his or her communication methods and interpersonal relationships.
